Add jrvaPhotoShare to Your Home Screen
You can add jrvaPhotoShare to your phone's home screen so it looks and feels like a regular app. It opens in its own window, launches instantly, and your login stays saved.
Select your device to see instructions:
iPhone / iPad (Safari)
▼Add to Home Screen
- Open Safari and go to jrvaphotoshare.com
- Log in to your account if you aren't already logged in.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (it looks like a square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down the share menu and tap "Add to Home Screen".
- You can customize the name or leave it as-is, then tap "Add" in the top-right corner.
Tip: You must use Safari for this to work on iPhone. Chrome and other browsers on iPhone don't support adding sites to the home screen.
Saving Your Password
- When you log in, Safari will ask "Save Password?" at the top or bottom of the screen. Tap "Save Password".
- Your password is now stored in iCloud Keychain. Next time you log in, Safari will offer to fill it in automatically.
- If you missed the prompt, go to Settings → Passwords on your iPhone to add it manually.
Important: Make sure auto-fill is turned on.
Go to Settings → Passwords → AutoFill Passwords and toggle it on.
That's it. You'll now have a jrvaPhotoShare icon on your home screen.
Tap it to go straight to your albums, just like opening any other app.
Android (Chrome or Firefox)
▼Add to Home Screen
- Open Chrome or Firefox and go to jrvaphotoshare.com
- Log in to your account if you aren't already logged in.
- Tap the three-dot menu ⋮ (in Chrome it's in the top-right corner, in Firefox it's in the bottom-right).
- Tap "Add to Home screen" (or "Install app" if shown).
- Confirm the name and tap "Add". You may also see an option to "Add automatically". Either works.
Saving Your Password
- When you log in, your browser will show a "Save password?" prompt. Tap "Save".
- Your password is saved to your Google Account (Chrome) or Firefox Account (Firefox). Next time, your browser will auto-fill your email and password.
- If you missed the prompt: in Chrome, go to Settings → Password Manager. In Firefox, go to Settings → Passwords.
Important: Make sure auto-fill is turned on.
In Chrome: Settings → Password Manager → Auto Sign-in (toggle on).
In Firefox: Settings → Passwords → Save passwords (toggle on).
That's it. You'll now have a jrvaPhotoShare icon on your home screen.
Tap it to go straight to your albums, just like opening any other app.
